i am amazed. andrew, i really don't think i've ever seen a more passionate performance. i'm glad you meant that. that song is gold. this performance is platinum.
I think this is when I note that I will have my MicroTrack, my iBook, and my video camera [FINALLY FOUND IT, sorry, Andy, I will tape your next three shows in payback] at the Exit/In. Oh, and my DSLR. I will probably be lugging 40 pounds of gear. I really don't care. We gotta do this up right! I just need an MBox from one of you. [This is where you pester Derek to let me borrow his.]
Thanks for sharing this with us, man. It's awesome. I love it when a crowd joins in. I am currently so stoked to see you guys that I can't stand it. Why can't it be Sunday already?
yeah man. I haven't commented in a while... but this one deserves one. Yeah... that was the best performance I've heard of the song. Glad I was able to see it too. Thanks man. And thanks to Zach for filming.
Andy, what is it about this song? i can't get enough of it. I could name a dozen of your songs that consistently stay at the top of my playlist, but this one just stands out for some reason. Great to hear a little different take from the other recordings I have. A little faster...and love the jokes!
What an incredible, intimate video! As I have never seen you in concert (except with Caedmon's a couple years ago), this was a real treat! Thanks for sharing it. I'm with Mark. There is something about that song that gets me every time.
Fantastic video. I was surprised at the tempo at first, as mark notes, a little fast, but yeah, it worked. The crowd interaction was great, they definitely knew how to sing along. Didn't hear anybody singing along on the last part of the song, though (what do you call that part, the intense part? it's not quite a bridge, not a chorus... ???)... I guess maybe I'm the only guy that sings along with that part.
What all effects/processors is Andy using on his acoustic? Anyone know? It sounds great. I'm guessing something like an Avalon U5 and some reverb, chorus, and slight delay, but I really have no clue.
...this tour traveled in a (4-6 hour drive) geographical half circle around Atlanta but without a drivable trip (for a guy with two kids under the age of 3).
Haven't seen you play since Christopher's with Kevolution, so I really appreciated the uTube. Would be great to see more - and more square peg appearances Atlanta!
Just wanted to let you know that you sounded great Wednesday night in Nashville, even if you couldn't remember how to play "We Are the Beggars" :-) And thanks again for signing my Normals' CD insert for me & my fiance; it's definitely going to go in the wedding scrapbook.
If y'all want a bootleg of Derek's set with Andy from Raleigh, http://indieriver.net/details.php?id=60&hit=1" rel="nofollow">head over to IndieRiver and grab it. I'll have some more from Andy after the weekend ... :)
I'm a relative new comer to your music, but I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed the show Monday night, both the full band, and all the individual sets. By the way, sorry your beer got warm. =)

I've heard that song a thousand times...but I seriously almost cried that time.
