in a van in North Carolina (again)

Well, we had a pretty fantastic show last night in Raleigh, NC. The crowd was amazing, the venue was rad (yeah, I said it) and my wife, girls and in-laws were there. These shows have all been pretty fun, though the drives have been taking a toll. Seven-months-pregnant Sandra flew home today, just to catch up on some much-needed rest.
Paul's driving right now and he bought a KitKat and only ate half of it. It sat in the cupholder and took a little sunbaking. So I ate the rest. I love a half-melted KitKat. Mmmmm.
I spent the night at my in-laws with Alison and the girls, which was great. We got to spend most of the morning together and it was wonderful, if a bit bittersweet since I had to leave again so soon. I'll be back with them in one week and don't travel again for a good long time, so that will help it be a bit more bearable.
We're playing today in Greenville, SC. The venue is allegedy right down the street from the Portland Studios office. For those that don't know, they're the friends who have done the artwork for my last couple of cd's, as well as Derek's, Andrew Peterson's and a whole slew of others. I'm really excited to see where all "the magic" happens, and catch up with those guys.
I got a few photos from the past few shows emailed to me, and I'll post them when I get a better internet connection. Thanks so everybody who's been coming to the shows, and especially to the "Kara" reguester wearing his ILikeAndy.com t-shirt. You guys are making this a great week for us. See you soon.

Congrats hunter. You win the internet and a song from andrew osenga.
Hey...
I was at the show in NC last night. It was a great show. You are hillarious by the way. Have fun in Greenville tonight. The handlebar is a great venue and Greenville is a great place. I'm from there originally. Have fun with the guys from Portland too and say hi to Brannon for me :)
yeah, say hi to me. at least.
I'll have to echo Mr. Doyle on this one
The show in Raleigh last night was amazing, and you were very funny --I especially like the comparison of your road manager/sound guy/ nanny to Tom Cruise =)
Hope to see you live again real soon!
at least (har har)... i wasn't trying to leave out the other guys :P
Just wanted to say that I'm looking forward to seeing you guys play at the Handlebar tonight. In my opinion, it's an awesome venue... made even cooler to me by the fact that my husband and i live practically around the corner (want coffee? or ice cream? :-D )
I was at the Raleigh show, and I saw Andy arrive at the show. Nothing says rock and roll like arriving to the venue in a mini-van and slinging a pink diaper bag over your shoulder! :)
Great show all around, best I had seen from Derek (maybe it's the sound in the venue.)
The beauty of a blog - updates about melted KitKats.
Another "impegnated" square-pegger! Congrats to Sandra and Derek.
great show at the handlebar. loved that high school band song.
Really, the show was great in Raleigh. I am the guy who accidentally called your little girl a boy. I really apologize for that. Hope to see around this part of NC again soon. I had never heard of Alli Rogers, man she was awesome too.
