A. Last.FM says it's Elliott Smith, then Wilco, then Over the Rhine. Sounds about right, and it keeps anyone whom I actually know off the list entirely, which ... well, it's a good thing. I don't want to say that I like one of you better than the other.

B. The three shows that I enjoy the most at the moment are: Veronica Mars, How I Met Your Mother, and The Amazing Race.

C. Listing books is perenially difficult for me, because it's almost always a list of books I've read most recently. But if we're going long-term: Tom Clancy's WIthout Remorse [because it's the only one where he really, you know, DEVELOPS A CHARACTER], C.S. Lewis's Mere Christianity, and Malcolm Gladwell's The Tipping Point.

E. Well, I've been a United Methodist all of my life, but I would argue that I have a far more nuanced understanding of the meaning of that now than I did then. L. 1) Caedmon's Call in Lynchburg, VA in April 2003. I’m going to answer your questions (they are good ones) but with a little twist on each. And the twist will have mostly to do with things that have made me cry. Why cry? Why not, I say.

3. List 3 books that have made you cry. At The Back Of The North Wind (George MacDonald.. a good friend bought me a very fine copy many years ago), Uncle Tom’s Cabin (Harriet Beecher Stowe), and Traveling Mercies (Anne Lamont).
4. On a scale of 1-10, how important is Clay Aiken when thinking of home refinancing? If Clay Aiken were to record a song I’d written, it would make me cry. Cry because I would no longer have a mortgage to pay (joy). And cry because he recorded what would have been an awesome song (sorrow). Thankfully, I don’t write songs.
5. Have you changed religion since you were a child? Always Christianity, but the different shades along the way. Fundamentalist Baptist >Swedish Baptist>Reformed Episcopalian>Presbyterian(PCA)>Episcopalian>Anglican (every single church has made me cry for one reason or another)
