Caedmon's Rehearsal

Sorry it's been a few days since I've posted. It's been a really busy few days, with family, work and some stuff that just needs to be taken care of. Anyway, the past two days we met over at Todd's and rehearsed for our Fall "Emancipation" tour.

(For sake of avoiding confusion, this time the captions will be UNDER the photos...)

Cliff, giving us the vision....

Mark Polack, who's mainly filling in for bass this Fall, Garett with his weird stuff, and Todd playing drums...

a few guitars...

the rig...

Garett playing tablas, Todd playing pandeiro (some sort of Brazilian tamborine) and Mark Dalit Hymning the harmonium...

me, showing you how awesome I am as a singer...

The Elloree sisters: the new baritone and the older Sojourner, which I'm using as a high-strung...

Garett and Mark again...

the new Baritone at home...

Ella really likes it, as well.

Seriously, that baritone is rocking my world. Again, if you play some sort of acoustic music and you have more than one guitar at a time, you NEED to check one of these out. This is the best sounding acoustic instrument Rick has built me yet, and they're really inexpensive. You can get in touch with him at ElloreeGuitars.com.

Also, I think these Fall shows are going to be fun. We pulled out a number of songs that haven't been played in a while and got them up and running. I'm excited to have a new vibe going on.

We got to sit and talk and plan quite a bit for the future (i.e. beyond the Fall) also, and I can honestly say, I'm pretty excited about some of the things we decided on. I think you guys will be, too. Sorry, I can't tell you yet, but hopefully it will be some sort of delicious suspense. If it's not, and you've ever been a Caedmon's fan, then it should be.

I'm sure that I'll enjoy whatever you play. I'm gonna try to make the Cleveland TN show on the 22nd, but it could be iffy because of work ... :(

i've got your delicious suspense right here. and i've got some free advice for you. dont ever ridicule Eric Karabell (fantasy sports guru). oh and here's some more advice, rock the house on 9/29 in PA. it will be a nice 30th bday present for me.

ok, that last comment was severely mangled in my haste to cut-and-paste. it was supposed to have some fantasy football tips since the season starts tonight and since i know that andy o has no use for sports. somehow i deleted all my tips and they really arent worth reposting and apparently i cant delete my nonsensical post. in any event, i still demand a kick-tush show on the 29th of septiembre. and tell cliff to put a hat on.

I do believe that Josh was in the studio doing other production stuff that day. These conflicts happen ...

If the PA show doesn't rock, I will publicly beat Bryan with a midget and then dance on his soul. You have my word. In fact, even if it does rock... I will still beat bryan with a midget. Sho nuff!

That guitar is a thing of beauty; I'm so jealous.

Yes, the guitars are lovely (and cleare picturese than anything he's got on his website- no offence to Rick) Really like the grain on the fingerboard of the baritone. How are the neck joints (glued or bolted?) and does the simple pickup design work as well as he says?

Not that I wish it on him, but if Mark suddenly takes ill and you need a replacement, I'm here for you! And I wish I could look that cool singing. And sounding that good wouldn't hurt, either!

Come back to Baltimore!

IS the fact that your amp is in the fireplace in that one photo symbolic of the musical fire that is produced through said amp? I do believe the rock pouring out of that amp could indeed melt my face!
