Saturday catching up

Man, it's been a few crazy days. Alison got pretty sick Thursday night and I ended up taking the day off to watch Ella on Friday. I just now am getting finished up on a couple of demos to pitch next week. I tracked them over at Paul's on Thursday. He just got back from a month at a YoungLife camp up in Minnesota, a place where I had some great moments, and it was good to catch up and rock out a bit with him.

Today the neighborhood is going nuts with garage sales. There were four or five on our street this morning, and it's a short little cul-de-sac. Ella and I walked around and met a bunch of other neighbors and looked at some dogs. Then Paul and I helped Kenny move a new stove into his kitchen.

We're about to head over to Chris and Megan Weigel's for their little girl Zoe's first birthday party. Should be a lot of fun. She's one cute little girl.

I wrote a bunch this week and spent WAY too much time working on my new MySpace page. What a crazy life I lead.

The Square Peg Alliance is starting a residency at a little club called Radio Cafe in East Nashville this week. We'll play every Tuesday for the rest of the month, and if it goes well try to expand it into September. We're not sure exactly what it's going to look like yet, besides having all the Square Pegs who are in town get up and do a few songs. A few artists will probably do a small set each week, then others may just get up and play. It will be pretty free-form and laid-back, and I'm sure it will be a ton of fun. All the shows will be free, as well, so come on out.

Well, I think I'm going to go get cleaned up for the big party. We should have the new site up and ready sometime next week. Write again soon.

Well, I'm definitely coming up to all three of the August shows. Past that, I'll probably run out of steam for a weekly trip to Nashville and back.

How come ronzilla always says what I want to say??? :)

But I must say, there really is no experience like a one year old's birthday party. I love watching the kids. Good times, Good memories, Great oldies.
